We are delighted to present to you the achievements of our foundation from September 2023 to February 2024, focusing on our relief and reconstruction efforts in response to the recent earthquake that struck our country, Morocco.

Your ongoing support has been essential in enabling us to intervene rapidly and effectively to assist the affected communities in recovering from this natural disaster. In this report you will find detailed information about the actions we have taken to support those affected by the earthquake. From distributing food supplies and humanitarian aid caravans to rehabilitating schools and establishing temporary modular classrooms, each initiative is a testament to your generosity and commitment to our cause.

Here is a quick overview of our achievements so far:
o Humanitarian support: We reached about 2300 beneficiaries regarding the distribution of food supplies, blankets, and warm clothing, ensuring their food security during this challenging period.
o School renovations: Renovation of 3 damaged schools to accommodate 584 students, providing them with a safe learning environment.
o Modular classrooms: Installation of 15 modular classrooms to ensure the continuity of education for children displaced by the earthquake.

However, we are faced with a serious challenge: few of our students are at risk of dropping out of school due to financial difficulties. As a result, we are launching a new initiative to sponsor orphaned students in our schools, so that they can stay in school and receive the education they need to build a brighter future.

By sponsoring a student, you can help cover the costs of their education, books, and other essentials. Your support will not only provide a lifeline for these vulnerable children, but also help us sustain and grow our school to reach more students in need.

We believe that every child has the right to a quality education, regardless of their background or circumstances. With your help, we can ensure that orphans in Azilal have the opportunity to realize their full potential and break free from the cycle of poverty.

Last year, we were able to distribute 500 food baskets to families in need. This year, our goal is to reach again 500 with a focus of the region of Azial, around 200 Baskets for the Orphans kids of the school we manage, 200 Baskets in the region of Ouarzazat, for the households affected by the latest snow fall and 100 Baskets for the Casablanca region. With your support, we can make it happen.

We strive to fill each basket with as much nourishing food as possible, so that families can focus on the spiritual and communal aspects of Ramadan without worrying about where their next meal will come from. A dental and ophthalmology caravan has been organized for young kids at a rural school in Azilal, Morocco. The purpose of the caravan is to provide dental and vision screening, as well as basic treatment and education, to children who may not have access to regular healthcare services. The caravan is staffed by dental and eye care professionals who will evaluate the children’s dental health and vision and provide treatment as needed. The caravan aims to improve the overall health and well-being of the children in the community and to promote better access to healthcare services.

A winter caravan has been organized in the region of Azilal, Morocco on December 23rd 2022 in coordination with Association A Better Tomorrow, to help schoolchildren stay warm during the cold winter months. The caravan has distributed brand new custom-made parkas, boots, socks, and hats to the children, who may not have had access to warm winter clothing otherwise. The winter caravan has been welcomed by the children and their families, who live in rural areas where access to warm clothing can be limited.

The winter caravan aims to provide some relief for families struggling to keep their children warm during the harsh winter conditions. The initiative has been made possible through the generous contributions of donors who recognize the importance of providing essential winter clothing to children in need.

By providing warm clothing, the winter caravan seeks to ensure that children in the Azilal region can continue to attend school during the winter months and remain healthy and comfortable. The initiative also promotes education, as children who are warm and comfortable are more likely to attend school regularly and perform well academically.

This dental caravan in the region of Azilal brought smiles to the faces of 668 students from the Bouantar Schools Group. The event, organized by a Morocco foundation, A Better Tomorrow and APEMD, aimed to provide free dental care and oral health education to underserved communities in the region.

The caravan was staffed by a team of dental professionals, who worked tirelessly to provide a range of services to the students, including teeth cleanings, cavity fillings, and extractions. The team also conducted oral health workshops, teaching the students about the importance of brushing, flossing, and maintaining good oral hygiene.

Thanks to the generous support of volunteers and donors, the caravan was a great success. Many of the students had never seen a dentist before and were thrilled to receive care that they could not have afforded on their own. The caravan provided a vital service to the community, improving the health and wellbeing of these students, and instilling positive habits that will last a lifetime.

The caravan took place on September 8th – 9th, 2021, and reached out to children from various schools in the Azilal region. The students received new and clean backpacks that were filled with school supplies to support them through the beginning of the school year. Each child received their own backpack with a set of brand new supplies, including pens, pencils, glue, crayons, mini chalkboards, notebooks, and zipper cases.

The event was a great success, bringing joy and relief to the students and their families. Many of the children come from families with limited financial means, and the backpacks and supplies provided by the caravan were vital resources that they could not have afforded on their own.

We are proud of our partnership with A Better Tomorrow and our work in the Azilal region, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to improve the lives of those in need.
